Director of Haringey Giving

Salary: £40,000 – £43,000 per annum + 6% pension

Employment type: Permanent contract

Hours: 36 hours per week

Based at: North London

Haringey Giving is a new place-based giving initiative that brings together Haringey’s residents, community and voluntary organisations, businesses, funders and other key stakeholders to raise funds and engage volunteers to reduce poverty and inequality and local good causes in Haringey. We are passionate about unlocking Haringey’s potential and transforming the lives of residents by building on local community assets and leveraging the money, talent and time for the benefit of residents.

We are currently recruiting a Director of Haringey Giving who will be responsible for developing and enhancing relationships with corporate and small businesses, residents, and the public and voluntary sectors. The post holder will also be required to work with the Haringey Giving Board to establish clear strategy and systems to make Haringey Giving a trusted and successful initiative for bringing new resources into Haringey.

We are looking for someone who is: passionate, self-starter, strategic, and understands corporate and small businesses on the one hand and community needs on the other. Must be able to: develop systems to ensure a transparent and trusted fundraising platform to mobilise money, time and expertise towards local good causes; a good communicator to raise awareness of the initiative and develop strategic relationships with businesses and key partners. The right person could come from a broad background including private sector and someone who enjoys challenges and problem solving.

Home from Hospital Worker

Job Title: Home from Hospital Worker

Responsible to: Referral Co-ordinator

Responsible for: Volunteers as assigned

Salary: £10 per hour + 6% pension

Hours: Part time (21 hours per week)

Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays per annum pro rata

Based at: Middlesex and Whittington Hospitals

Contract: One year fixed contract (with possibly of permanent role)

Closing date: 11 June 2018, (noon)

Are you passionate about providing older people with practical support and skills to live healthier and happier lives?

We are currently recruiting Home for Hospital Worker to be responsible for providing practical and emotional support to older people receiving the Home from Hospital service. You will provide home accompaniment and home visits to Haringey residents aged over 18 years old leaving hospital for a period of four weeks to ensure safe discharge, promote independence and reduce the risk of re-admissions.

We are looking for someone who is: empathetic, non-judgemental and reliable and understands the needs of people; effective verbal and written communication skills; proactive and enthusiastic with ability to work flexibly and confidently alone and on their own initiative; good networking skills; and good IT skills.
