The project aims to transform an under used green space near our Community Hut into a thriving communal garden and aims to deliver 60 family sessions each year. Local residents are invited to join these activities and will also receive the opportunity to learn about gardening, cooking and food safety, as well as enjoy the food they have grown. In addition, after-school food sessions will run for local school children teaching them the benefits of growing local food ad its nutritional value. We run a series of after school and weekend 3 hour sessions for local families and young people at Bridge Community Hut, based around three areas of activity: gardening, cookery, and wellbeing. In total there will be 3 programmes of 20 sessions each per year.
