Social Prescribing and Care Navigation course

The Bridge Renewal Trust is to deliver a social prescribing and care navigation course, in partnership with Public Voice/Healthwatch Haringey.

Course content

The course combines presentations and practical workshops. These are designed to equip healthcare professionals and workers with the knowledge and skills to deliver social prescribing programmes that address entrenched social problems, to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for patients and residents.

Participants will leave the course with:

  • Improved understanding of social prescribing and how to set up and/or participate in social prescribing programmes in Haringey
  • Information about Haringey’s voluntary and community sector and how to develop stronger working relationships
  • Increased awareness of the existing (developing) care navigation systems (database) and access routes for variety of services available in Haringey.

The target audience is:

  • Healthcare professionals working in the primary care, hospital and community settings
  • Staff working in the voluntary and community sector
  • Decision and policy makers working in the NHS and public sector.
