Haringey Voluntary Sector Forum (VSF) – Children and Young People; 21st July

Posted by: Marco Mills on July,8th,2016

Are you a voluntary or community organisation providing children and young people’s support and services in Haringey?

If so, you are very welcome to take part in the first thematic group of the Haringey VSF. The event will explore how voluntary and community groups can work strategically and in partnership to contribute towards the first Priority of Haringey Council’s Corporate Plan 2015-2018 ‘Building a Stronger Haringey Together’.

Attendees will be briefed by key Council staff, including Jon Abbey, Head of Children’s Services, around the Council’s vision, ‘enable every child and young person to have the best start in life, with high quality education’ and the role of the voluntary and community sector.

You will also find out about the forthcoming Haringey Youth Council, Outcome Stars, National Citizens Service Summer programme and forthcoming events. There will be an opportunity for groups to share updates and network with other organisations.

Time:   2pm to 4pm, Thursday 21st July 2016 (arrivals 1.30pm to 2pm)

Venue: Committee Rooms 1 and 2, Civic Centre, Wood Green
