Over 40 Voluntary and Community Sector organisations (VCS) in Haringey took part in a new forum on Thursday, 21 July 2016 at the Civic Centre in Wood Green. The forum aims to bring together VCS organisations working with children and young people to share ideas and foster closer working relationships within the sector and with Haringey Council.

It was good to see so many people full of energy and enthusiasm. People shared information and new ways of working – for example on providing early help to children and their families as well as plans for a revitalised Haringey Youth Council.   Cllr Elin Weston, Cabinet Member for Children and Families also attended the meeting.

The forum is the first of a handful of new thematic forums being facilitated by the Bridge Renewal Trust to enable the Council and the VCS organisations to work together in areas such as health and wellbeing, employment and skills, community safety and housing support.
